Go to this glacier. There aren’t very many people who do so you will probably be alone. It has some nice hikes and is beautiful. When you are finished, jump in the hot pots. Fun way to warm up.

The Hoffellsjökull Glacier Lagoon seems to be the smaller sister of the much more famous Jökulsárlón. Because it can only be reached by a hike or with a Superjeep (Jökullsárlón is as is generally known directly at Road No. 1) there are of course much...More

This was an awesome stop very close to the glacier. The road was rough, but dry and navigable. It hadn’t rained recently. It was an easy walk up a short trail.

Parked near glacier and went for solo walk on well marked route with spectacular views of glacier. The quietness was amazing with total peace and quietness. Don’t be afraid to do this walk yourselves

Part of the group tour was a visit to the glacier via a Super Jeep. We were picked up and installed into the jeeps then traversed the landscape to the glacier - about 30mins. The drivers were very safety conscious and ensured we understood the...More

Spend an Hour here. Could have spend longer exploring the area. The glacier is mesmerising and a sight to behold. A truly unmissable experience.

There are so many things to see and do here. Plan to spend an entire day, exploring, photographing and hiking. Pack plenty of food, water, and warm clothing.

We ended up driving there without knowing exactly what to expect. You have to drive ~4km on a gravel road, but it is totally worth the visit. Easy access, interesting scenery. It is totally worth the driving there. It is a glacier and the views...More

We did the entire ring road around Iceland and I can say hands down this glacier was the best thing I saw! The best thing was that there was not one single tourist (except for me of course). The glacier was glowing bright blue, it...More

This glacier is off the main road. Roughly 4kms of dirt and gravel road to get there. Would definitely recommend a 4x4 car. Not suitable for small cars.
