Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was on our list (spreadsheet actually!) of things to see/do in Husavik. It really is a beauty on the outside. We drove around it a number of times. We were going to go in, but there was a hearse parked in front. Not wanting to be "those" tourists, we didn't peek inside :)

To Icelandic standards large church, located next to the harbour of Húsavik. You can go up to 1st floor for a nice view on the interior. Remarkable entrance door.

This is a small and photogenic church and we had a great time adoring it's wooden structure. Closed on Sunday but worth the photographs.

It's a nice little church. Husavik is a middle-size town by Icelandic standards, nice and cute. Aside from the church there are shops, restaurants and museums on the main street.

The Church in Husavik is attractive on the outside and is the key building in the town. Ste inside to an unusual wide lan though there is nothing of historic interest.

This is a landmark in Husavik, and it was enjoyable to be able to go inside and see the architecture. It's not somewhere you'd spend a lot of time, but it is a pretty place and worth stopping for a visit. It's also free to go in!

The outside is pretty. That is about it. We spent about 5 minutes inside. There is not much to see inside. The ceilings are blue.

The church looks very nice from outside. Inside, there is a picture of the resurrection of Lazarus from lava.

I visited Husavik because I wanted to do a whale watching tour. But I had some extra time and had a walk around Husavik. It is a pretty town with beautiful coloured wooden houses and a charming church. The church is opposite the whale watching offices, you can't miss it.

History to 1907. Very small but it is what one would expect in a small town like Husavik. No stained glass. Interesting history, and locally designed and built. There is an interesting brochure about the church inside.

Worth a stop while you are visiting Husavik. Rating of 3 is relative to other churches that could be visited in Iceland or elsewhere.
