The design and overall atmosphere was great. I loved the simplistic look of the entire airport as well as the sleek bathroom 🚽. I can’t believe I’m talking about the airport bathroom, however the look caught me off guard.
40-50 mile trip. New vehicle, comfortable four door car. Cab driver met us at airport lobby with a sign. Quick and efficient service. Ride took about 40 minutes on highway and got to see some of the outer lands of Iceland. Efficient, no-hassle drive directly...More
After a pleasant flight on Icelandic airlines from Chicago our plane landed in Iceland. We proceeded through the small airport to meet our driver. He was to transport us to our hotel in Reykjavik.
The approximately 50 mile journey into town was interesting to say...More
I'd really only recommended using a taxi service to keflavik airport from Reykjavik as an emergency as it will cost around 16,000 Kr. The taxi was in fantastic condition and was well maintained and comfortable. The driver was really nice too.
With prices comparable to The Netherlands, it's a bit pricey, but the service is great. Landed on Iceland at midnight and we got straight in a taxi to our hotel.
When we needed to go back to the airport to get our hire car, the...More

I had a nice chat with the driver, was allowed to sit in front and enjoyed myself. He helped me to the doors with all 4 suitcases and got me...More

We only took the taxi to the town of Keflavik and it was pretty expensive for such a short ride. Not sure how much it would be to Reykjavik which is about 45-50 minutes trip. There is an airport to Reykjavik round trip bus (actually 2 different companies). About 25$ per person depending on exchange rate one way. You can book online and pick your time based on your arrival and departure times. I think a round trip ticket is cheaper than 2 one way tickets but I'm not sure. If you go to the Keflavik Airport website they have the links to both as well as taxi info. The buses go direct to most hotels and pick up as well. We took the FlyBus and it was great. Hope this helps.
