Popular photo spot but people just take their turn for their photo. Make sure you include the background

Such a unique sculpture in the harbor with a beautiful view (if the weather is nice). Easy to climb on for kids.

A nice photo op and a lovely, modern sculpture. The only issue might be the weather as it is quite windy and often cold and rainy. Dress appropriately and continue on to the Harpa concert hall.

I did't like this sculpture at all, it looks so tretenig, fool of spikes. I did't feel pleasant there.

It is free. Just walk down to the waterfront and there it is. Framed against the water and the mountains beyond it is beautiful.

It is well worth a walk down to the water to catch a view of the solfar sculpture which is right off of a nice walking path around the shoreline. Beautiful.

Very interesting sculpture, right on the waterfront a little way from the Harpa concert hall, but well worth a short walk to visit, there are many others along the waterfront but not as significant as this one.

This was a fun place to pose in for a picture. We asked a fellow traveler to take our picture. It is in a beautiful area right next to the water.

Interesting abstract sculpture of a Viking longship. The harbor setting is very pretty. I would have loved to have seen this at sunset.

Unusual and finely sculpted unique art work depicting a Viking ship. Good location along the water in the city. No admittance fee, it's in a public place.

That´s not true. In December in Reykjavik you have at least 4 hours of light. You can go to the page timeanddate, and check there the sunrises and the sunsets. Hope it help you.
