At 101Spa Reykjavík we strive for excellence, with variety of services carried out by professional staffg in our warm and cozy clinique in the heart of Reykjavík. Our employees have different backgrounds and professional experience, allowing us to provide wide variety of spa services We have long opening hours, and you are welkome to drop in for a look We are located downtown Reykjvík right in the heart of the city, we take good pride in our new and well designed spa, where we want the customer to feel welcome.

Cheap interior and smell of chemicals from their nail salon is the first impression when walking inside (poor ventilation), very bad first impression of a spa experience!
I am a teacher in beauty and spa therapy with 20+ years of work experience within the wellness industry, I already felt like cancelling my appointment!
Decided to try 80 minutes hotstone massage which was really awful from the start until it finished.
The therapist. Michael, felt stressed and I had the feeling that he had know feeling of what he was doing, there was no flow in the treatment, several times he placed too hot stones on my skin (almost causing 2nd stage burn), dropping the stones on the floor, strange massage techniques with the stones… I could just keep going!
Did he learn Hotstone massage by Youtube?
I have never in my professional career experienced as bad service, not even from students that have just started learning the practical skills for a massage treatment.
It scares me that people go to treatments like this and thinking it is normal for a massage treatment!
Sadly I can not give zero stars but at least 1 står rates as terrible which both describes the service as the treatment!
A total waste of money and there are many other higher quality spa places around in Reykjavík.

Terrible experience
My wife and I booked a couples massage
They had double booked so couldn’t accommodate me for an hour after they started hers. (I declined). Her room was cold on a cold plastic table and face rest which was very uncomfortable because most of the massage was prone after a quick rub of her arms and legs while on her back. The “therapist” even had cold hands! She said she didn’t know what she was doing. We booked it the day before and they asked for a 10000 kroner deposit. We will check our credit card receipts to make sure we weren’t scammed because we got that kind of a vibe.
Please don’t waste your money

Worst facial. We went two people together and we were put in the same room. The two girls doing the facials were talking the entire time. We ordered a 80 min luxury facial. We got 55 mins and about 4 products put on with a 4 min neck massage. Seriously a rip off. As well they didn’t turn off the lights or use candles or anything. Nothing luxury about it. They told us in the end of it that they ran out of products and that was the reason. But why wouldn’t they say that before and give us a chance of bailing so we don’t have to pay 9000 kr for nothing. And now my skin is braking out like crazy.

Where do I start... ok so I got a massage in 101 spa in laugavegur. Ok the person on the register was friendly and nice that was about it! I ordered a relaxation massage what I got was a very bad hurtfull depp tissue massage.😭 This was the worst massage I have ever had the person I went to was Jana and I told her first of all I have damage in my back so she has to go easy nothing in this massage was easy! Only painfull and stressfull she didnt even give time to put the blanket properly over me when she was switching from legs to back I almost never give bad reviews but this time I felt like I needed to warn people I mean ok if you want your back and all your ligaments cracked very brutally and in a very stressfull and painfull way then go and have a massage with her otherwise I recommend just any other place! Horrible just horrible😭 Im in so much pain after this massage and they should be ashamed of themselves to do this to paying customers. I told her many time about my damage and that I was sensitive and she either forgot or just didn't care. Not to mention no music and no relaxation worst 10.900kr I have ever spent. Im never going there again.

I went for a brazilian wax and I left extremely unsatisfied. The wax they used was cheap and therefore unnecessarily painful and they did a poor job with the wax too, I had to spend an hour and a half plucking away patches of hair when I got home. I was also too sore to sit for 2 hours because they used wax strips instead of hot wax. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I would rate this better if my massage therapist didn't get AND take 9, yes nine, phone calls during my session. She even left the room for one of them, the others she held the phone and tried to work on my massage at the same time. She did not extend my time to make up for this either. Won't be back.

I had appointment 2 weeks ago, to make my eyebrows (tinting and waxing/plucking) it was horrible. And now I see my eyebrows, when the dye is washed out, I just want to cry, my eyebrows are thin, one is thiner other is ticker, they are totaly diferent, basacaly now I have just two lines, which are totaly diferent, one is straight one is more curvy. And I had nice thick brows. And this is not it, in the process, she just put dye to all my brows and then just clenead around with qtips, and then they loked thick, but she was puting on my skin extreamly hot wax, wich was burning my skin, and she was puting this wax everywhere and too close to my brows, thats why now I have very thin brows, and at the end she didn't put any cream on my brows after waxing, she just said ok you can go its ready. After that I hade few days rednes around my brows, and till now I have irritation and pimples around my brows which are painfull, after 2 WEEKS.
Not recomend this place, and this is not normal to allow, people who don't know what he is doing, to do other people brows, it is other people face, and now I need to see my brows everyday in mirror, and I dont know when my eyebrows will grow back, maybe never.

Went there with my daughter on her birthday. Do not recommend, the staff talked to each other the whole time while we were supposed to be in a relaxing facial. The facial was not nice, Not a good massage, and the the ceiling was so dirty. The manicure was so badly done that it had to be fixed when we got home

Terrible experience. Went for a couples facial and massage. The place smelled of chemicals. The facial and massage was uncomfortable and the room was not clean. The therapists phone kept ringing during the treatment which was disruptive. We paid for an hour and it lasted 40 minutes. Very disappointing. When asked how we found it we replied not very good to which they replied would you like to pay with cash or card. No effort was made to discuss why we were unhappy.

My massage left me with bruises and scratches all over my back. As someone who gets regular massages, it was clear from the start that the masseuse didn’t know the body well and wasn’t fully trained. At first, it was just underwhelming and uncomfortable.
However, she then proceeded to grab an object that felt like a wooden comb or another hard, spikey object (I was facing down so I couldn’t see) and began piercing my back with it. She didn’t speak English very well and I didn’t know how to tell her to stop. It was extremely painful and after trying to communicate how much it hurt, she finally stopped and began a regular massage on the rest of my body - a badly executed massage though. She (thankfully) ended it after 40 minutes although I had booked a 60-minute massage.
I have gotten massages all over the world and have never experienced anything like this before. It was painful, and frustrating, leaving me with bruises and deep scratches along my back and my shoulder blades. I intend on going back there to show them the marks in person and at least get a refund.
