Overview
More
Operating only a few select daily scheduled tours which are always in small groups, Iceland Horizon is a small, family run tour operation with no intention of becoming a large bus company. Our philosophy has always been that you are travelling on a guided tour and the bus is just a means of transport, keeping the experience more personal, friendly and fun for both travellers and guides. We also arrange tours for groups wanting a private or individual arrangement.

Our tour guide was a jolly Geordie fella named Ian who kept us entertained all day with a collection of anecdotes (about both the country and his own life living there) as well as the history of the regions we visited. We saw Gulfoss Falls,...More

The Snaefellsness Tour takes you to remote, beautiful and raw landscapes that are often overlooked by stopover travelers. It's a one-day trip with a lot of interesting, diverse stops so it doesn't feel like a long day. The sights range from lava fields and horse...More

This was the perfect tour for us, as we only had one full day in Iceland. We saw some amazing sights and even though it was rainy and gray, our guide made the trip enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable about Iceland, its history, its people,...More

Great smaller company with knowledgeable guides. They provide fantastic service at competitive pricing. They use smaller vans so you get to know your travel group!

We enjoyed the Golden Circle and South Shore trips very much. The drivers were knowledgeable and friendly, the scenery was spectacular and the historical perspective was very interesting. We would recommend these day trips to friends and family.

I did both the Golden Circle and Snaefellsnes Peninsula with Iceland Horizon and was very satisfied. Knowledgeable guides, fantastic sights, small groups, and a considerate company make a very good combination. The Snaefellsnes tour gets less publicity but is certainly worthwhile--a good pace, peaceful scenery.

As the owner of Iceland Horizon I can tell you that the only way to book our tours is direct with us at icelandhorizon.is. we do NOT sell through tourist offices and the stewardesses with Icelandair never offer our tours.
