Volcano House is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the heart of Reykjavik. This is the place where one can learn about the Icelandic volcanoes by watching high quality film that were created for the Volcano House. Moreover, there is a great lava stones collection, souvenir shop and the collection of arts from famous Icelandic artists. We pride ourselves with of our multilingual staff many of whom have studied geology and so can add to the understanding of our customers.

We enjoyed looking at the different volcanic rock and stones. The kids enjoyed feeling the volcanic ash and seeing the pumice stone float. It was free and enjoyable. The young lady in the gift shop was very friendly.

A very simple museum packed with detailed photos and history of how volcanoes are a part of Iceland's history. The movie is great ! The girls working here LOVE their job and are very knowledgeable. GREAT restaurant attached!!!More

I understand that the Volcano House is featuring old events, but the overall quality is mediocre. Do not stick around for a meal here. Limited menu and even for Iceland, expensive for an average plate of fish. Nice staff. Good central locationMore

Sorry, don’t recall the price, but I didn’t consider it expensive. We got the age 60+ seniors discount.

It was less than the adult ticket but I don't recall amount. Interesting fact seniors get into the settlement museum free!

hi its free , we werent charged at all , which in Iceland is unusual !!! please do go visit , its small , wont take long but it is very informative .
