Been three times - 1986, 1995 and 2013. Each time to see the resilience if Icelanders in face of natural disaster is very humbling. The power of volcanoes and the mid-Atlantic rift is awesome and Villi is an expert storyteller and filmmaker doing justice to the images he and his father have captured over the decades. As I'd been before,... More

Great footage over the years. Voice over clear with a touch of local humour. He put up an extra show just for us instead of letting us wait. Not to miss while in Reykjavik.

We saw all his movies and bought all his disks! Villi is real character and it is very interesting to talk to him.

Only takes an hour or so of your time. You get to watch a forty minute documentary, showing what happened in the eruption in 1973, and then what happened with the eruption in 2010. Very interesting to see the difference with technology and what people know now. It's only a small cinema, so if you don't have kids who would... More

Spectacular geological activity is an important part of the Icelandic psyche, into which you can feel you're getting a small insight by attending these films and talking to the film-maker Villi Knudsen. Echoing previous contributors, we had the cinema to ourselves and got to talk to Knudsen afterwards who is a fascinating and modest character, shrugging off his daredevil exploits... More

the previous reviews sum it up pretty well.....I enjoyed the man himslef (a real charactor who admitted a problem of 'not being able to stop talking'!) but the films...firstly not in chronological order, jumping from volcano to volcano and not always easy to know where he was talking about, old filmage so not brilliant quality, but certainly too long to... Loved the dry sense of humour shown by Villi's voiceover of his films. These are not HD quality and my 8year old daughter fell asleep so we were not able to stay for the second film which was a shame. The films are interesting records of one man's travels to volcanoes across Iceland and you can watch him age as... More

The vigour & passion of Villi , the owner is something which is difficult to forget. However I wish the videos could have been arranged a bit more chronologically and with more graphic representations of what is happening in Iceland . Would not be very interesting for regular people like us who wanted to start from basics of volcanos Location... More

Visiting Villi Knudsen and his Volcano Show was like a personal two-hour tour through Iceland's explosive volcanic history. It was strange to meet a shuffling, elderly Villi at the door then see a young, sprightly and dry-witted man on film, but that just proves how long he's been around volcanoes. Other reviews here sum up nicely what you can expect... More

A trip to this quirky attraction is a must for anyone with an interest in the Volcano eruptions in Iceland. I only had a vague notion of the various eruptions; this film takes you through their history from the amusingly dry witted perspective of the cinema owner, who has spent many years monitoring Volcanic eruptions and is there in person...
