I was there alleready a few times. I love the house, the artwork and the atmosphere. It takes a little walk to get there and it is not so easely found, but defenitely worthwhile.

I only visited the sculptures outside as modern sculpture is not of great interest to me. What was on display was sometimes readily ascertainable, other pieces more incomprehensible. It is located in the eastern part of Reykjavik with the botanical gardens still further beyond. Walking...More

Mix of media, with some sculptures, paintings and photographs. Not crowded and very unpretentious. Good to kill an hour or two while downtown.

We did not go into the museum but enjoyed the evening strolling in the sculpture garden. It is lovely there in the spring.

Nice museum worth a visit both for the collection of sculptures in the museum and in the gardens as well as for the architecture of the museum as well.

I went there with my class and I just learned the artist was my uncle, which is such an honour comparing the beautiful artworks he didl The museum is very beautiful and the works he's done are brilliant.

This is an art museum of sculpture and is amazing. It was the sculptor's house and has now become a museum, making it feel intimate and homely. Must visit!

This is a hidden gem... The works of Asmundur Sveinsson are some of my favourites and although you can see individual pieces (such as the Water Carrier) dotted around Reykjavik, it's amazing to see so many all in one place. The building which houses the...More
