We saw this church on a Sunday while strolling down downtown Reyjavik. It's a nice, quaint church in the area. It seems that a service was going on while we were visiting. Also a funeral seemed to be in procession when we were driving by...More

Set in reasonably large grounds sits the Dom. It is a good looking structure and the inside of the church is not extravagantly decorated. It is still a practicing church. Worth a visit.

It's a small cathedral but worth to stop by for a few minutes to look at inside. There's also piano performance every Tuesday night.

The interior of this church is modern. It does not have a dull atmosphere inside. It does not have traditional motives or pictures. Outside is also nice. You will like taking pictures there.

Peaceful mother church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland. Inviting, unassuming entrance, impressive pulpit.

This lovely classical style church is a beautiful structure with clean, well-cared-for features. It is one of my favourite buildings in Reykjavik.

Next to the Parliament House the Lutheran Cathedral was built consolidating church and state. More elaborate than the "new" cathedral, it is very small scaled to the Reykjavik of the time. Very peaceful inside. Well kept.
