Best part after offering respects is the lookout from upstairs. This Church is at a walkable distance from a very lively and pedestrian friendly market area with lots of cafes, shops and restaurants. Onsite parking is free.

It looks bigger on pictures but it is not that big. Beautiful piece of achitecture and a simbol of the city. The inside is very simple but at the same time is very interesting.

The highest spot in Reykjavik, you certainly get an overall view of the beauty of the city. The elevator ride is brief, only 6 to an elevator. It was 1000 krona to go up. It's not inexpensive, but this is Iceland. If you want a...More

A modern Cathedral, and a stunning design in its simplicity towering over the city. The tower is accessible by elevator.

There are a few Churches in Reykjavík but by far my favourite is the Hallgrimskirka. It’s modern, stylish, elegant and beautiful both inside and out. The views from the top of the Belltower are amazing (lift access). The interior of the Church is also modern...More

The architecture on this church is amazing. Crazy to think how they built this so many years ago. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to go inside as it was closed. The great thing was not too many people were around there at the time...More

We enjoyed sitting and listening to the organ after a day of walking around the city. The acoustics were wonderful.

This is a beautiful church . Great place for pictures. I would of loved to go to the top but I was not prepared to pay 10.00 each - OUCH!!! to get to the top. Iceland is expensive enough. After the exchange rate and 2.5...More

Fairly central to Reykjavík at the top of a hill but a short walk. Wonderful views from the top and inside is very different and unusual to the usual churches visited. Warm inside for a break from the weather. Worth a visit and free although...More

We walked up there, since we had parked along the street with parking meter somewhere else. Sorry.

As per previous reviews, very limited parking. Better to park elsewhere and walk up.

No one took our tickets either. It was the honor system. If it was me, I would just ask them when I bought the ticket and go with what they said. I bet they would say it was fine.
