This building is famous as the meeting place between Presidents Ronald Reagan and Milhaul Gorbatsjov in 1986. The world continues to change but also stays so much the same. Visited on the same day that Trump met Putin!!

This is a significant building historically. The signs explain the events of peace talks. It would have been good to see the inside, but it was not open to the public. Still it was worth the time to visit the grounds and read the signs.

Nothing too remarkable about the place but it is a nice bit of history and if the wall could talk what did Reagan and Gorbachev say to each other in private? Nice enough house and easy to park outside.

While the Reagan/Gorbachev summit in Rekyjavik was ultimately a failure, it was the first step which eventually led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Alone near the water, the house itself has interesting architectural features. Built for a French official and lived in by...More

Interesting architecture and even more interesting story of the people who once occupied it. The setting of the lone house with view of the ocean and waves behind it can take you back to another era. Worth the visit , convenently located in the city

The Hofdi House established its place in history when it hosted the summit between Reagan and Gorbachov, which lead to the massive downsizing of nuclear armaments, helping to make the world a safer place.

This is the place where the historic meeting between President Reagan and Premier Gobachev was held, ending the Cold War and renewing relations between our countries.
