About
In the centre where Reykjavik’s old heart beats there is a charming red house, once called Aberdeen. There, Kogga, one of Iceland’s most renowned ceramic artists, runs her studio and gallery. The artist warmly welcomes visitors to her gallery that displays unique art pieces hand crafted on the spot. Catch a glimpse of the kiln in the back, it ensures visitors to cool Iceland a very warm welcome indeed!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We can't get enough of Kogga ceramics. We go there and buy whenever we visit Reykjavik and order online for US delivery. We have several pieces. Very interesting family history of artists. A must visit for unusual, beautiful Icelandic ceramics!!!

This artisan was on my must-visit list. We each purchased fabulous ceramics. Lovely firm's and inspiring colors that reflect the awesome colors of the country. We love each piece as a remembrance of Iceland. An added treat...we got to speak with the artist!! A terrific experience!

Had put this place on my must visit list months before leaving home.......what a winner! Such beautiful and unique pieces made with such quality. If you like ceramics, you’ll be quite happy with Kogga and yes, your purchase. It was a bonus having met and spoken with the artist/owner!

This is a beautiful shop that has unique designs that truly shows the artists talent and eye for design. Some things were out of my price range but I found a beautiful tiny vase that I just had to take home. Thanks for the friendly service too.

We enjoyed our friendly conversation with the shop owner and artist who told us about her process and let us take a peak in her studio. Pricey but I enjoyed buying souvenirs from someone I will remember. She even said hello to us when she saw us in the town square watching the World Cup game. Beautiful pieces!

This house and studio are very attractive in themselves. but the pottery produced there is delightful and unique. I bought two small candle holders a year or two ago and visitors still admire them. Its a pity the place is do far away. Iceland is not cheap, but well worth a visit

I wouldn’t really call this a gallery. It’s more of a small shop. That said, I think they had the best ceramics I saw anywhere in Reykjavik. Unfortunately, they had prices to match: You’ll pay about US$1,000 for a large vase or bowl. Still, definitely worth a visit.

My husband & I popped into this shop the first day we were in Iceland. I was interested in this shop because I am a potter myself and the pottery looked very unique. I loved these pieces and wish I had purchased one of her little pots when we were there. I thought we'd be back in Reykjavik but unfortunately didn't make it back into the city. So if you see something you like, go for it right then!

Just before you reach the main square is this little musem.
The stairs leads below the pavement level.
All peices are lovely. Lots of ceramic eggs and other beautiful pieces.
The artist is very welcoming and very friendly. She was quite inviting and explained her detailed pieces.
Really and interesting place to stop in and take a look.

HI, I am an ceramic artist from Australia. I will be visiting Iceland from 1st Dec to 8th Dec 2016. I was wondering if you were running any workshops during this time or if I could have a tour around your studio and shop. I have head great things about it.
Thanks
