The association has two shops in downtown Reykjavik; we visited the larger of the two that is just down the street from Hallgrimskirkja – for much-needed hats and mitts for the cold, rainy days we were out exploring Iceland and to bring home as gifts....More

There are many places to find sweaters and other knitwear in Iceland. This is the place - it is handknitted, relatively (!) cheap and there is a large selection and good service. two minutes from the main street.

We stayed in Iceland in 2014 and regretted not purchasing an Icelandic sweater. I found them online here and ordered one for my husband for Christmas. It was shipped incredibly fast and is absolutely beautiful!

Small local wool shop with an abundance selection of Icelandic wool and wool products. The women working in the shop were very helpful and nice, even offering to look for additional wool sweaters in the back for me because they didn’t have the size i...More

This has the largest variety of designs, certifiably handknitted, not mass processed, and I was surprised that they were not much more than the ones at Icewear and the big tourist chain shops (I don't speak Icelandic & Puffin). There was a good sale markdown...More

The knitting shop is located near Hallgrímskirkja church, literally about 1 block away, Skólavörðustígur 19, 101 Reykjavík! I am not certain how long it would take you to get there from cruise ship. But if you can figure out... More
