It was very small and cosy. We saw great work by Olaf Otto Becker, which was gorgeous to look at and showed a very real and scary story about climate change and how we're killing our planet. Great exhibition.

Particularly enjoyed the featured photographer Olaf Otto Becker. Spent most of my time looking at his photos. Did a great comparison of Iceland 1999 and 2012. Also was fascinated by his solo photo expedition to Greenland! Also the archive photos of older Iceland photographers and...More

This small but lovely museum is on the top floor of the library building, adjacent to downtown and near waterfront so very easy to get to. Current exhibit of photographs by Olaf Otto Becker includes some stunning images of ice and glaciers from both Iceland...More

A very small gallery, OK if free but very poor value for 1000 ISK. The best part was the black and white archive of photographs in the entrance, but only 3 screens to view with. Spent 15 mins max going round gallery, 30 mins looking...More

I don't think this museum has any permanent collections so it hard to predict what you'll end up seeing. During our visit there were interesting collections on display. It's not a big museum but the selection seems good. Very calm during our visit so you...More

Not much to see here for your 1000ISK entrance fee. It was a wet and cold day so we popped in but were back out again within 20 minutes.

It's not for free anymore, entry costs KR1000, that's why we decided not to go there but they have three screens at the entrance where you can see old pictures about Reykjavík and Iceland. A good place to warm up and to use the facilities.

There weren't many photographs on display but those that were available were good. I feel that the limited number of photgraphs available reduced the experience.

The photography museum occupies the top floor of the library building near the waterfront. The main exhibition changes, and when we were there it was a fascinating record of the police investigation into a famous Icelandic murder case. I must also mention (and recommend) the...More

Went to this super cool space above the library. It was a exhibit of a local police investigation that happened there in Iceland. The photography is absolutely beautiful. It as if your standing there and your seeing it with your eyes not looking a photograph....More
