Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our trip to Reykjavik was amazing. We went to Perlan museum to get a 360 degree view of Reykjavik and to experience an ice cave, then it was off to the lava show which was very informative and interesting.we paid a visit to The Great Geysir to see the geysers in action The snow mobile ride we did on the golden circle is something I highly recommend, it is the best thing I've done so far, you also get to visit the tectonic plates on the way to experience the boundary between North America and Europe. The people are very friendly and the food is lovely, just be prepared that it is expensive in Iceland but worth it.

A nice park with well kept and maintained gardens. The cathedral and House of Parliament sit here. Often, airplanes pass over head which is cool to see. Benches available to stop and rest and ponder!

This square was right near our hotel so we passed through here quite a few times on our trip. There are some lovely buildings around the square, some pretty flowers and birds to see and it was very clean. Nice to stroll around or sit and people watch.

At 4pm on a weekday, this seemed quite a quiet square but still pleasant to wander through/ It has a statue of Jón Sigurðsson within it

Left the American bar and came to this square. Recognised this place from the Reykjavik live feed so got a snapshot of us there!

Small attractive park in heart of the city surrounded by beautiful buildings. Two of which are probably the most important buildings in Iceland's history -- Parliament and the Lutheran Cathedral.

VERY NICE - has a monument to civil disobedience by which they mean demonstrating in front of the building, not breaking in.

Festive lighting for Christmas made for a peaceful diversion into the park-like square and away from the bustling restaurants and pubs in the area.

Pretty little square in the heart of downtown. Has lots of history attached to the buildings. First and only full statue of a female in Iceland.
