GIVE IT A TRY
Aug 2021
We visited here our last day in Iceland. Their beer was good but I would have liked a little more variety. That being said, we enjoyed the brews and the owner was very friendly. While I didn't ask, he freely gave samples to anyone who wished to try something. It's centrally located and worth the stop.

The food - not so much - but the beers were fabulous! I could sit here all day! My party tried several beers and loved each and every one.

Cozy, but taster is rip-off
Aug 2020 • Couples
First the positive points:
Service was very friendly and informative, the beer was mostly good (they have many on tap) and the taproom has a cozy atmosphere. We really liked it there and were looking forward to coming back the following nights.

Negative points:
The amber ale is not an amber ale (look and taste).

As craft brewers, we went there to taste the different beers they have (8 of their own on tap). On the internet, we saw many photos of taster flights with 4x 200 ml of beer, but as we wanted to try 8, we got 8x 100 ml. So, we assumed that we will get it for the price of 1 flight, as it was the same amount of beer (we had to pay when we left). But no: they wanted to have about 6‘000 Kr. (38€) for these 800 ml of beer. That’s the double or triple of the price, if you buy beer in a glass. That’s crazy and clearly a rip-off. With prices like this, you don’t encourage people to try different beers - the mission of craft breweries. Of course, we protested and had to pay less in the end. But we didn’t go back there (as it was planned originally, as we stayed 3 nights there and wanted to spend part of our evenings in this brewery).

Local brewery

Fun place to visit even if you do not do a formal tasting. They offer you to taste 4 small glasses of your choice. The sour beer made of crowberries and blueberries was fun to taste

Try the Imperial Stout!
Sep 2019 • Business
Another local recommendation and I'm glad I stopped here. I had two glasses of the imperial stout and it was one of the best stouts I've ever tasted. I will be back again next year and bring my tour clients.

Fantastic beers
Jul 2019 • Friends
We spent a delightful afternoon here, getting a tour by one of the owner brothers. Their story is compelling and the brews we tasted were top notch. If you enjoy good craft beer I would definitely recommend Brothers Brewery to anyone visiting the area.

Rated best brewery in Iceland by Ontap
Jul 2019 • Friends
Good selection of micro-beers, most made on site. They advertise 30 though they only had 8 local brewers when we visited. We tried most of them an we all liked most, and some of us like all. Friendly staff, fair prices, right in the heart of Vestmannaeyjar. A “must see” if you’re a beer fan.

Voted Best Beer in Iceland!
Jun 2019 • Couples
There's a sign that states this; that they were voted best microbrewery in Iceland and our son (who has been to a lot of microbreweries here in the States as well as Croatia and Ireland) would agree! Nice sunny spot indoors and they have outdoor seating as well. Popcorn!

Great spot to enjoy a flight and play a game
Jul 2019 • Couples
My boyfriend and I came over on the ferry for the afternoon and The Brothers was our first stop. We each got a flight and sat playing games and relaxing for an hour or so. It was such a calm, light-filled spot which was a perfect place to sit on a sunny afternoon. Beers were great too!
