We got the great idea to swing by at sunrise, as did many other tourists. That said, still possible to get shots without tons of people, and totally worth the hike. Just don't expect to have the plane to yourselves. :-P
This place has been made popular in India by the Indian superstar (SRK). One of his songs was shot here. Its basically a plane wreck and be prepared to walk around 7 km's (back & forth) in cold and blistery weather to see it.
The walk from the car park to the plane is about one hour, one way. The car park by the main road allows visitors to leave their vehicles and proceed their way over to the wreck, taking approximately two hours.
