Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We rented one kayak to explore Ponta da Piedade on our own and it was definitely worth it! We booked for two hours but they gave us 30 min extra. The only inconvenience was that we had to move the kayak up and down the stairs to the beach, which was not the easiest. That could have been advertised more clearly. However, I definitely recommend doing it!

Amazing experience with beautiful views.
A lot of fun,the guide had a great sense of humor.
If you don't have any experience in a kajak though, the introduction might be a little short.

We really enjoyed the downhill cycling tour with mountainbikes. Great guide and beautiful views. Nice, active way to explore the nature and little villages. The tour was around 32 km mostly downhill and that was perfect for us.

This is the second time we have done the downhill bike tour with outdoor tours.
Communication with the owner Frank was good and booking was seamless.
The meeting point was in Figueira which is about a 50 minute drive from Albuferia. From there we were driven to the top of Monchique where we had a chance to get a refreshment from the cafe before getting our bikes and helmets, from there we set off downhill on a mixture or quiet roads and dirt tracks stopping occasionally so our guide Vasco could tell us about the area. One stop we made was at a moonshine distillery and honey factory where we we got a taste of both before continuing downhill then stopping at a small cafe for lunch which was a glass of fresh orange, salad followed by tuna pasta dish.
From then the ride is more flat and does require a bit of effort now and again, but frequent stops were made to have a drink of bottled cold water which was provided.
From start to finish the tour took around 5 hours and our guide Vasco was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and tailors the tour to the groups requirements.
Overall we had a great day and would recommend this to both groups or friends and families with slightly older kids.

The downhill trip was an excellent day out on good bikes, mostly on a mix of trails, dual-track, single track, unpaved road and a little paved road. The tour leader was well informed about the surrounding terrain and natural features, sharing that info with the group at frequent picturesque stops. The support vehicle was frequently available for depositing and retrieving water, clothing, snacks. The pace was well set for all participants, old and young. The lunch stop, included, was well timed and tasty. Being a bike commuter at home, I've never "dirt biked" but would sign up for this one again. The start and end point, Mexilhoeira Grande is near Portimao and is easily accessed via car or bus.

Frank really helped with the whole trip even the minutest details. The route plan was brilliant with kids. We even got to see flamingos en route. Highly recommended as a family activity

hi,
sorry, I just saw your message now !
Tomorrow we will do the Downhill OFF-ROAD tour, so that´s not really something for the youngsters in your party unfortunately, sorry.
On Thursday (12/07) we´ll do the regular downhill ride (on tarmac) and we still have space for that tour. The youngsters will receive €16 pp discount :)
hope this all helps,
Frank

Greetings,
My boyfriend would like to get more information about your bike tours. We will be in Lagos on June 21 and 22. Do you offer half day tours? What kind of levels of trails are there? What kind of bikes do you have available? lastly, do you have a break down of cost?
We look forward to hearing from you.
