On separate occasions we have been on the vineyard tour, taken lunch in the bistro and had several home delivery platters - all excellent and will do again. Wine is very good too!

We booked the Vineyard Tour & lunch online (a Christmas present to ourselves!). Very easy to book. Tom showed us around the vines and was easy to chat to and knowledgeable. We had a taster session (really lovely Rose & white wine) followed by a delicious lunch in the new cafe. It is obvious that much time, energy and love have been invested into this family business and Alder Vineyard thoroughly deserve their success. We look forward to returning in the near future to see how things have developed.

Just popped in for a coffee, we live locally, but hadn’t been before although we are familiar with their excellent rose wine. Ended up having lunch in the newly opened restaurant/cafe which was super, friendly staff and having sampled the white, we took a bottle home, local produce and crafts available to buy, also hampers for Christmas, tables well spaced out in view of the current restrictions, fresh and clean. We will definitely visit again. The views are lovely too.

Excellent experience even in November. The leaves were still on the vines and our guide used a left on the vine bunch of grapes to show us the colour of the flesh whilst describing different colours of wine. Informative guide answering all questions. Generous wine tasting samples in the winery and more accessible explanations of processes. We had a snack lunch with more of the Rose in the restaurant. Delicious meal. Friendly staff. Great local Devon product shop with own wines, local soaps, gins and other alcoholic bottles, jams, chocolate etc etc. Beautiful place.
