We love coming to Slimbridge Wetlands Centre. Our visit today followed my dream of sitting in an open plan office (no roof) and seeing swans fly over from above. Despite not getting the photo of this I wanted (my phone app wasn't fast enough) we saw it many times over. We sat in a few of the many hides and... More

Slimbridge is a wonderful place. We spent an amazing and truly magical day. There is such a wonderful collection of very happy birds here. The staff are so passionate about the place you can't help but be transfixed by the whole experience. Everyone should go to Slimbridge at least once in their lives. Put it on your bucket list -... There is so much to see here, especially when there is late Autumn colour that it's worth trying to visit for 2 days especially if you are travelling a distance. It is great for families with young children as you can encourage them to feed the non-native birds in the display regions and there is the wildbird areas with great... More

So many different species of wetland birds! There were signs to help identify them, and an information leaflet for £3.50 at reception which has a map and pictures of all the species. Such an amazing experience, so many birds I have never seen before, and many are beautifully coloured. There are also some hides where true wild birds can be... More

This is an excellent facility, from the parking to the shop at the end, it's nicely laid out and there are So Many birds to see! I was also impressed with the availability of hand sanitizer along with the bird seed that was for sale, the kids fed the birds liberally all the way around! Loved seeing the otters, and... More

One of the best local attractions for taking a walk and enjoying the wildlife. Ideal for getting rid of that Christmas bloated feeling. The staff keep the place very clean and tidy. The food and refreshments in the café are all very nicely produced and the staff very friendly and attentive.

My family (with a 2&4yo) visited Slimbridge with friends on a chilly but clear Dec morning. Such a lovely spot to wander and be amused by the huge variety of happy birds! A modern facility hosts the entrance, observatory, shop and cafeteria facilities. It also has a small soft play area for young children and an inside amphibian section. They... More

We have been members here for a few years, it doesn't matter if you're not really struck on birds there are many other things to do and engage with. Slimbridge encourages education for both adults and children and offers opportunities for both to learn and discover the importance of the wetlands. The birds are the major attraction and there are... More
