    PARADISE !!
I am so stunned by these reviews… yes it is overcrowded and touristy but are we all not tourists!?! The Blue Lagoon was PARADISE! I have travelled to over 70 countries and this water is some of the clearest I have ever seen in my life. It was magical. Had the best day at the blue lagoon! Pack your reef shoes as it is rocky in and out of the ocean. Embrace it being crowded, the beauty you will experience will be worth it! I would go back again happily!!

    Blue lagoon
It is an amazing place, but in June is just overcrowded, and the water wasn't too nice for me. Plus, it is deep after you crawling down the ladder, so you can't just walk and enjoy the water standing in it, you have to swin or take any equipments with. Many, many people and small spots to put down your towel.

    Over crowded and underwhelmed.
If you took away the people, the rubbish, the overpriced food traders playing loud music this place would be paradise. As previous reviews have stated not enough space for way too many people and very few safe places to enter the crystal clear water without risking life on the rocks. Glad we saw it but sitting on a boat for an hour and half as nothing else to do was not the best experience. Best to just sail past take some pics and spend the time somewhere else.

    Definitely worth a visit
A good day/half day out if staying in Malta or Gozo. Take snorkel and underwater camera/go Pro. No shade and its difficult to find somewhere to leave your belongings but there are lockers. There are also toilets and food and drink kiosks.

    Comino and Go
Lovely sea water, lovely views but it is just not safe walking up the walkway. Teens ,alcohol and exposed cliff faces and sheer rocks with 2 feet space to pass...is a deadly combination. Go for the views ,if you can see past the hundreds of instagrammers posing with coconut drinks and looking into the middle distance. Then leave .

    Have your wits about you!
Yes this place is absolutely heaving, but have your wits about you and remember you are one of the people in the crowd making it that busy! Ignore the hoards of people and take in the beauty all around. We took our snorkels and headed down the little beach areas and away from the boats (much safer there!). We then headed out from the shallows where hundreds of people were randomly standing in the water? And snorkelled where it was much quieter. So many fish and such clear waters. Be Careful; High drops and people pushing and shoving to get past! Boats whizzing in and out, swim in designated areas away from the mooring platforms! People pushing and shoving in the water!

    Dangerous place
As you sail in, it looks lovely and the water is a lovely blue, but I would not return. I found the place to be dangerous. Seen too many people slipping and falling. Too many people in a small area scrambling to get a place to sit and into the water. The money is not going back into this dangerous area. There needs to be more areas to relax and ladders off the rocks to enter the water safely. There are food, drinks and locker bars. Deckchair and parasol 15 euros. Would never return

    Not for everyone
We decided to visit the Blue Lagoon in spite of the large number of poor reviews it gets. We visited on the first week of January. We had a great and memorable day. The good Aquamarine water even in the winter Sandy beach Not too busy before 10:30 am Amazing views during the hike around the island The not so good The food trucks (food/music/littering) The set up of the place: what appears ro be unlimited boats, the place to disembark We loved the views, the sand play, the rock formations ... The water was very cold but not disimilar than the England beaches in the summer. Unfortunately we spotted jellyfish close to the beach but that did not stop many from swimming. We would never visit in high season. There is simply not enough space by the beach for everyone.

Busy and some people rude but quite nice
All I saw were complaints about how busy it was and jellyfish. We went in peak season (middle of summer) and he’s it was slightly busy on land but once in the water it was fine. Didn’t see a single jellyfish while I was there. It was a bit difficult to get into the water because people were surrounding the coast and land. At one area the only way to get in was via a ladder, there were ladies posing for photos on the ladder. There was a huge que to get in the water but they were too busy posing. They wouldn’t listen when we told them to move. There are a lot of arrogant people everywhere you go though. But like I said once in the water it was lovely. We got some nice cocktails in pineapples which were really nice so I definetely recommend just for the experience even though it can be a bit overwhelming.

Terrible welcome to a beautiful island
Landing point for any trip to Comino and not a great start once you have been wowed by the colour of the water. Busy and noisy with ridiculously load music on what should be considered a natural wonder. However take yourself away from the landing point and the island is a true gem

Really dangerous place. So many hazards was glad to make it back in one piece. No where safe to sit or get shade. Not a real beach

Booked as part of a day trip from a vendor in our hotel.

Beautiful blue sea but ridiculously busy and inaccessible for a toddler and baby. We luckily had some help carrying our 3 year old, 6 month old baby and buggy off the boat, over the rocks and through the very small beach area packed with people to make our way up a steep hill to find a bit of space to get something to eat and drink.

I appreciate the beauty of keeping the space natural and rugged but with so many people squeezed into such a small space, navigating your way through the crowds on the rock edges with small children was quite dangerous.

Wish the trip vendor had told us how busy the lagoon would be and how inaccessible and unsafe it would be for small children before we’d went - we would have stayed on the boat as our trip only included a 90 minute stay at the lagoon.

Great place to visit! It was super busy but this was to be expected. Lockers to hire for belongings which came in handy. Recommend

Took a boat trip to the Lagoon for the afternoon, 4 hours at the lagoon and beaches. Thouroughly enjoyed although the few food and drink outlets were expensive.

We are sorry we didnt check reviews beforehand . Although beautiful it was spoiled with hoards of young people crammed onto the beach . The music was loud and long queues at the food huts . We sat upon the rocks , there was nowhere to sit until our next boat back , an hour and a half later . The harbour was a mass of people all waiting for different boat companies to come back . No organisation whatsoever , it was chaos. We are sorry we didnt spend more time on Gozo and shouldve given the Blue Lagoon a miss .

I visited here in 1976 so I was naively shocked to see it now. Chaotic , rammed and burger vans alongside the hoards . However, not to be defeated , we walked 20 mins around the coast and found a very quiet spot with a couple of other intrepids. We swam here and thoroughly enjoyed our little jaunt.

Went here in April 2024 and it was horrendous. I had read the reviews about avoiding July and August but I did not expect that on a normal weekend in April (not Easter holidays). It was completely overcrowded with what looked to me like gap year students, all drinking heavily. We had to fight to get back on the boat to get off the island, I was in a total panic, I thought we were going to be left on the island all night. There was nowhere to sit down. There were loads of shabby food outlets selling junk food. It's such a shame as without these and the drinks it could be lovely. If anyone really wants to go, just make sure you go on an organised tour and do not buy tickets from the vendors outside the port as you cannot guarantee getting back off the island

It was awful there wasn’t shade. It was too crowded and you don’t have a place to put towel. There is only fast food available and you need to wait for 30 mins minimum. I don’t recommend

We were recommended to go here during our trip to Malta and honestly I wish I had ignored the recommendation. The water here looks beautiful, but that's it. It's completely overrun with people who come here just to take Instagram pics with their pineapple drinks (which they leave lying around everywhere afterwards). The sandy strip is a few square metres at best.

Getting back from the island was also a nightmare. We used the Ebsons Comino Ferries and not only did they charge us more than was written on their booklet, they didn't even pick us up at the promised time. There were hordes of people waiting to leave the island and there is only one dock, which is used by all the different companies offering their boat services, so you can only imagine how delayed our departure was. People were pushing each other, trying to leave this godforsaken island. If you do decide to go, book one of those pre-arranged trips on bigger boats that depart from St Julien's or St Paul's Bay because then you at least don't have to wonder whether you can even get back and you won't have to wait on that one tiny dock while everyone pushes you around.

A beautiful turquoise bay seriously undermanaged. Two tiny beach areas, 50 m each requiring scrambling over jagged rocks, hundreds of people eating fast trash food spoils any sense of beauty. Avoid.
