Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was about a half hour walk from our hotel along Tower Road to this old Knights of St John watch tower. They were strung along the coast for defensive purposes. I don't know if you can enter it but it is situated nicely right at a bend in the road. Some call it the Sliema Tower.

Malta is so covered with old buildings and ruins that they are almost taken for granted! This sentery tower is a nice landmark along a beautiful waterfront walk.

It's not just the restaurants it's the history and the photo opportunities that make this and the other towers around Malta so interesting.Getting your photo taken in the stocks might be funny but think of the people who actually suffered this humiliation, come to think of it maybe that's the answer for some of our entitled youth.

It is only viewable from the outside which takes about a minute or so. It seemed to be encapsulated by a bar which was also closed when we got there.

Taking a stroll to St Julian's bay from the Park Hotel in Silima, this was the first historic building that I came across.
A small beautiful tower.

Saint Julian Toer or Torre Di San Giuliano or Sliema Towers was only a couple of minutes in my eyes direction when I walked from Sliema to St.Julians. Watchtower from 1658. On of five of the de redin Towers. From 1715 there was build an artillery battery around it. Ordered by Saint John. Should protect St.Julians bay. Build by limestone. Owner is goverment in Malta. Today there are a restaurant there who You can take a piece Food or a drink and enjoy the lovely beaches and sea or buildings.

Read the reviews before visiting this "attraction", it seems some were "made-up". The Tower is the storeroom for the Resteraunt which is beneath it. If your looking for History - don't bother. However if you like a walk along a pleasant seafront and a drink or food in a nice Resteraunt with exceptional sea views then you will not be disappointed. I was led to believe from the reviews I read that the Tower was an attraction in itself.
