Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Its obvious to me that Phudrogeli has never been to the bar and is writing a bad review for his own gain. My girlfriend and I visited Corks bar at new year and although the weather was awful the warm welcome from Peter and his lovely wife made it all worthwhile. The vintage cocktails are inspired and the oldywoldy items around the place give great topic of conversation . Just ask Pete about an item and he has a story for it. I don't know if Peters stories are true but hey who cares when your having a good time.

By far the nicest bar I found whilst in Malta, it was refreshing to find a place that didn't have a big screen showing football or have hideously loud music playing. Loved the quirky decor and vintage bar pieces, and the cocktails were fab!

It's not often that you come across a place that is perfect in every way. The kind of place you wouldn't want to change a single thing about. Like a lot of visitors I discovered Cork's here on TripAdvisor and had big expectations after reading the glowing reviews. I have to say that the owners, the lovely Pete and Yang Yang have created a fantastic little bar and far exceeded my expectations.
Cork's is a little nook of a place, which is perfectly intimate with it's homely 50's style decor and music and lovely personal touches like family photo's adorning the walls. The cocktails made by Pete and Yang Yang are easily the best I've ever tasted anywhere in the world and they are crafted with such care and love like nothing I've ever seen. Pete took a year crafting his cocktail list, researching the history and origins of these fantastic classic drinks of the late 1800's to early/mid 1900's to bring them to life as if you'd hopped in a time machine and travelled to a bar stool at the Savoy's American Bar in a bygone era. My friend and I whiled away a good 5 or 6 hours and sampled about 6 of the cocktails each, made expertly and served in beautiful antique glasses. The first one being my favourite 'Mai Tai', which is absolutely superb, right through to the last one of the evening, the equally gorgeous yet potent 'B&B', or "night killer" as we called it after stumbling back to the hotel in the early hours.

Pete & Yang Yang have created something very different here which sadly probably won't be appreciated by everybody. It's a unique gem of a bar that is operated with such love for what they're doing. It's one of those rare places that deserve to have it's praises shouted from the roof tops so that more people can experience it, yet a selfish part of me feels compelled not to so that it stay's exactly the way it is.

I can't wait to return on my next trip to Malta, hopefully on a night when they have their regular gypsy jazz band performing.

Keep up the good work! :)

A bar with an amazing atmosphere and super cozy. The ambience is an absolute perfection. I would recomend the place if you like light jazz/swing music.

Cork's Bar is a hidden gem, The Cocktails are delicious, try the Cosmopolitan, made with fresh limes and from a 1930s recipe - it was the best cocktail i had all weekend! A cute cosy place with lovely vintage pieces and the best music, gypsy jazz and swing music a welcome relief from the pounding house music in most bars! I highly recommend!

Located not far from the bay where the bus stops, up a very very steep hill. If you are not very mobile or have any health issues find the long way round as it is a challenge.
Unusual inside with several soft arm chairs, dim lights and ornaments. Outside seating too but bit cramped.
Good selection of spirits and some beers and ciders in cans.
Made a change but not sure if it was worthy a bus journey and a hike.
Owner and wife friendly.

Hi Angie, Thanks for making the effort to come over for a drink with us. Sorry we didn't meet your expectation. Sadly, there's not much I can do about the hill! Just to clarify for anyone reading your review; we don't sell cans of anything. We do have a selection of over 35 bottled beers and ciders. We have a decent wine list too. Our specialism is in classic mixed drinks and cocktails of the late 1800's to 1950 (hence the great selection of spirits). Cheers, Pete

So I've lived around the corner for a decade or so, have been in search of a cool place to have a drink or 2 amongst friends for ever, and this amazing place just has to be it!!
A beautiful cushy decor, great gramophone music (live acts every so often too!), an accommodating owner who concocted a delicious hot toddy for me and who was ready to share the very interesting story behind the pictures hanging inside this little gem of a place.
I'll go back as often as I can possibly manage, & recommend it to anyone in search of a rare "off the beaten track" experience in Maltese nightlife!

Peter and the Cork's family made us feel welcome and delighted us with a menu of classic cocktails. The great blues music provides a warm ambiance, a reciepe for a perfect night out.
