We enjoyed the trip up and down, particularly with the fall colors. Free with the Luxembourg card. It’s true there’s not much at the top, but we viewed it as an activity instead of transport to a destination. Great views and worth the time. We...More

I would definitely suggest to try the Chairlift. Even with children. The staff is very friendly and supportive. The view is marvellous. The price is also ok for it.

Visiting Vianden is not complete without seeing the view from the top of the hills. Easy way to enjoy the view is to use the chairlift of Vianden. Although outdated and slow, but it provides a great view from above. We used the chair lift...More

The chair lift looks rather dated. One of these things that might have been spectacular years ago. Yet, taking it down when hiking the area is a relaxing experience, and you get great views of the castle and the village below. Priced at 4 euro,...More

The tele siege is an easy way to get up the mountain, and then only to descend walking to the beautiful Vianden Castle. Great view!

Visiting Vianden village you can’t miss the chairlift on the mountain ridge. Easy to find with your car or a 20 minute walk from the bridge over the Our in the centre of town. The chairlift is well maintained. The price going up and down...More

We took this chair lift to go up the hill, and it was fairly inexpensive for a two way ticket with a great view. The chair is a little scary at first but afterwards just breathtaking (in a goodway). I highly recommend this rather than...More

About 4 or 5 Euros. We got on free because we had a Luxembourg Card - well worth buying if you are there for a few days.

I would say as trees have lost leaves there would be views as you walk up. There are great views as you walk up and go into castle which is close to village. Enjoy
