Visited the place with my three year old son. The castle is fairly small and nice. The entire place can be explored in about an hour. The audio guide was good, would have been a challenge without it as there are no information boards in...More

Nothing special. Really poor doesn't compare to any of the other castles in the region. Actually seeing the castle from the outside while you are in Vianden makes it very tempting to go inside and discover but once you enter you immediately feel how poor...More

Well worth the visit if you find yourself in the area and a good day trip if you are within driving distance. Definitely one of Luxembourg's more impressive attractions outside of the capital itself.

Sitting high on the the hill above Vianden, this chateau's best photographic view is across the valley while approaching the town. There is pay and display parking available above town, but downhill from the chateau about a 5 minute walk uphill to the entrance (fee...More

Loved the castle. Beautifully restored; the only downside was the exhibits did not have an English translation.

The castle looks absolutely stunning from the outside. It sits high above the city of Vianden. There is parking pretty close but it is a steep walk uphill to the castle. The entrance price is 6 euro which isn't bad at all. The crowds weren't...More

The castle looks magnificent from the outside (located on a hill) + great view at the top. Inside there is actually not much to see. ticket price: 6 euros (adult)

I don't like old stuff or history that much, but it was a 6 euro well spend. Excellent views all around.

I think 2h is enough, including 20mn for a coffee inside. You won't spend more than 3h there in any case.

Hi it's a steep climb to get to the doors and there are many steps to be negotiated in the castle but it's well worth a visit! I would leave the buggy at the paying desk on the way in. Hope this helps.
