The Pont Grande-Duchess Charlotte is a huge red bridge that spans the valley taking you from the old city over to the more modern sector. It is quite striking and you can notice it from a distance and does not blend in with its surroundings. You can drive, walk or cycle across the bridge and also buses and trams go over the bridge. The trams have a separate area. There are some amazing views across the valley from this bridge so well worth taking a stroll over it.

This prominent modern bridge passes 355 meters across the valley in Luxembourg City, connecting Boulevard R. Schuman and Avenue John F. Kennedy. It's also commonly called the "Red Bridge" for obvious reasons. Built between 1962 and 1965, the bridge is a vital transport link. Unfortunately, the bridge became famous for suicides, with more than 100 people jumping from the bridge from the time it was constructed up till 1993, when suicide-prevention guard fences were installed.
