Interesting monument

An interesting monument visible from a distance because of its golden color. The monument is dedicated to the soldiers who died in the last two world wars.

The Golden Girl/Woman apparently was taken down by Hitler. Not certain what the significance of that was and why it didn't remain where it was removed to or melted down and something really amazing put back in it's place. Such things are all over the world. Something new and exciting would be great!

A wonderful monument beautifully maintained. Erected in memory of soldiers who scarified their lives due to war. A place one cannot miss as the tours to the old city starts from here. Lovely for photographs.

A very tall and large memorial monument centrally located around town dedicated to the soldiers that died in WWI and WWII. Beautiful views from this area. Benches around to relax and people watch.

This was at the centre of our walking route so thought we'd have a look. Lovely simplistic monument with great history, limited translation though so had to do some research once returned to the hotel. The location of this monument gives beautiful views over the park.

This is perhaps the most visited landmark in Luxembourg City, with a beautiful view overlooking a valley and garden.. this landmark is always full of tourists.. It is recommended to visit in on a sunny day for the best selfies!

This national monument is defiantly worth a look if your passing bye, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. Easily noticeable from anywhere in the city by the golden statue on top. The inscriptions around the base bare homage to the fallen warriors of Luxembourg during both the 1st and 2nd world wars, no translations available,... More
