I stayed in Fuzeta for a week in August. I didnt expect to have such an amazing time. Taking a boat to the Ilha de Fuzeta in the morning for a beach time and swim in the Atlantic ocean... the food is super cheap, fresh sea food, big portions, location is calm but very beautifil fisherman little town.

Get the water taxi from Fuzeta and a couple of minutes later you are on a beautiful beach with miles of sand, a bar, snaks, sunbeds and toilets. Beautiful.

This beach is easy to access from the marina in Fuseta(lots of parking there) where there is a ferry every fifteen minutes or so. The ferry cost us 3 euros return each and was a nice ten minute trip across to the island. Once there you can walk across the boardwalks to the open sea side and a lovely beach. Golden sand, crystal clear water,,a lifeguard ,a few sun umberellas and a couple of snack bars. It was a very pleasant place to spend the day. For small children be aware the beach slopes away quite quickly but having said that there were plenty of families there.I think there is also a place to hire paddleboards and we also saw a windsurfer and kite surfer further up the beach. If you want to get away from it all you can get a water taxi for a very reasonable rate from the marina and they will take you to a more remote part of the sand bank.
