    smaller than expected
We went to visit the museum on a rainy day with little else to do. The museum was smaller than I expected. The Paco Knöller exhibition (from the Hilti Art Foundation) was good, the other exhibition (paerliament of plants) I did not like so much and the third one (Martina Morger) I found disappointing. The museum itself is is fairly small and in less than an hour you have seen everything - though the building itself is exciting. It's ok for a rainy day but I would not travel to Vaduz just for this museum..

    Way cool
KUNSTMUSEUM- Vaduz A cool little museum. Broken up between buildings and steep flights of stairs. A museum that’s alive…I came on a Saturday morning and not only did I get eclectic modern art, they had a poetry reading with some lights and music.

Worth checking the programme in advance.
The building is quite striking externally but does not appear to be well designed overall internally. The staff were all very pleasant, welcoming and informative. The exhibition during our visit was certainly worth seeing, The Whole Palette works from the Hilti Arts Foundation. In all honesty I unfortunately cannot say the same for the permanent exihibits. The most interesting parts of this were the main staircase and the red colour on the walls!

We visited the museum today. Based upon the pictures, we expected some Picasso paintings and more of that quality level. The permanent modern art collection was after all not much more than some wooden doors sawed in two, parts of outdoor chairs, old theater decors and an empty swimming pool. Where is the sense for real art?

Great architecture meets carefully selected pieces of art. Little bistro is very inviting. Spend an afternoon at the museum, it‘s well worth the visit.

It is a delicate mix of contemporary work on the top floor and classical work masterpieces on the lower floor with the clear stand out of Picasso’ s paintings.

The kunstmuseum is a very nice integral part of Vaduz centre. On top of the hill adjacent to it is the castle where the Royal family lives.

We aren't big art people, but we got free entrance with our Liechtenstein adventure passes and it was a good rainy day activity. Some interesting pieces, but many that made us say - how is this art? Like a wood board where half was painted white. Don't get it. Photos show the art we enjoyed.

You can identify different cultures though current exhibitions and find a thing that can remind of your local place. The usual ticket costs 15 francs and for students - 10 francs. You also can get a free map of the museum.

In the centre of Vaduz, Liechtenstein you will find the beautiful, large and very lightful Kunstmuseum. At this moment there was an exceptional exhibition of Arte Povera. It’s really a must see when you are around.

If you like modern art, it's worth your time, but if you don't, then it's really not the place for you. Architecturally interesting for sure.

Impressive the Beckmanns, Wols, Hodler, the ability and courage to show a not really convincing late Kandinsky, a phantastic combination of a Legrand, Leger and a Picasso. In the later 20th century the courage of the curators seems to not really have been sufficient, the rooms not really filled with the paintings, Koebel and Förg a bit insulated. When we were there the Kienzle exposition was shown, impressively personal choices of which one go the impression the curators needed to distance themselves, similar to them not really having the courage to let the public know what their reconstruction of Rodchshenko for a previous exposition required.
