Was interesting to see. There is a lot of the castle still intact. It is a workout to get to the very top. The stairs can be small, uneven, and steep at times. This is not handicap accessible. The views from the top are amazing. They have a short history at the bottom but it was closed when we visited.... More

Came here with our tour group,it was a little scary traveling up in a coach with the hairpin bends. We were able to walk up to the castle but only to the second stage,we were advised this as the next part is a little unkept. The views were amazing.

This is really a visit to the remaining walls etc of the castle but it is worth walking through as you can gain a real "feel" of the location and it's crucial strategic position.

This castle is one of the most dramatic cliff top castles I have ever visited. On a clear day there are spectacular views. Good footwear is needed as the paths and steps are quite uneven. Well worth a visit!

St Hilarion is not for the faint of heart although there were many folks much older than our 70 who braved the climb. It is hard to beat the view from the Queen's windows looking over the snow on the mountains ot Turkey across the sea. The paths are safely provided with handrails and the trails are clearly marked. A great place to visit! Very atmospheric place with incredible views. Amazing feat of medieval engineering. Very steep though, so be careful!
