Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nice way to spend half an hour.
There is a small museum showing the family history at medieval time.
The armor outside is lovely
2.5€ per person good price

It's an old medieval castle built in the 14th century. A lot has been renovated but it has a small museum, cannon and views across the bay and beaches from the top. Pleasant hour spent wandering. Cheap at 2,50 Euros. Well worth it.

This Medieval castle is right on the water in the middle of Larnaca. There's a 2.5 euro entrance fee which is well worth it. Very young children might like the feel and look of the castle, but our grandchildren (age 10 and above) declined the invitation. We enjoyed the rooms, inscriptions, canons and other weaponry and the museum. But the view from the ramparts out to sea was spectacular.

Originally a Lusignanera caste turned into the small Medieval Museum. Throughout British rule the castle was used as a prison. From the fort you have great views of the city – Finikoudes beach, promenades or Grand Mosque. Entrance fee 2,50 €,

It’s a very small but very historical medieval castle that were used to protect the city in ancient times. The staff working at the castle are very nice, very helpful and happy to give directions and recommendations for restaurants as well. It has a very small museum on the second floor . The castle is a great spot to be able to take pictures of Larnarka’s waterfront as it’s being rebuilt and reconstructed to make it more modern.

Guys, we were here in early September 2024. The fortress is small, but very pretty. It contains a large number of artifacts from different periods, up to the middle of the last century. We should mention in particular the very polite and welcoming staff, as well as the availability of brochures in many languages, including Russian.
We recommend it!

Came here in March 2023 and was pleased there was a castle so close to where we were staying. This is a simple visit which costs next to nothing and worth a trip if there is an hour spare. The view from the top was beautiful and worth the steps up.

Lovely historic place to visit in Larnaca. Great view on the promenade, the sea and the city. Pretty quiet, not too much tourists. The entrance costs couple of euros. Could be great as a activity for families with kids, friends and as a romantic spot for couple pictures. Enjoy!

Hi, there are plenty of restaurants near the castle, because the location is right at the end of the Finikoudes, which is the seaside where all the cafes and restaurants are.
