I'd never been inside a mosque before so, a new experience for me. A small ancient ruin had been preserved in the grounds. A peaceful and tranquil place.

This is one of the oldest mosques in the Islamic history and right next to a beautiful salt lake with loads of migratory birds and flamingos. I visited with my wife and immediately felt peace and tranquillity there. We had a great difficulty to find it as it was not very well sign posted. The Cyprus Antiquity Department can certainly... On my recent trip to Larnaca I visited this historic mosque and mausoleum. Situated on the bank of the famous salt lake. A place of calm and a 18 century architectural masterpiece. Every religious denomination visits this place to benefit what this place has to offer.

This is an old mosque and seems to be of some importance to Moslem pilgrims. It is usually very quiet and being in a secluded area on the shores of the Salt Lake is a nice spot to visit and perhaps sit and relax. A guide will show you around the interior and will expect a small donation. I have... More

We had never been in a mosque before. This old 18th century Mosque houses the tomb of the prophet's stepmother and is, it seems, held in high regard. An important place of pilgrimage in Cyprus. Attractive building in a great location. An enjoyable visit taking less than an hour.

Although the Mosque is not extra special, it is in a nice spot away from the noise of the main road & bustle of Larnaca. It is right by the salt lake which is spectacular in late autumn when the hundreds of pink flamingos are there. A pleasant place to walk around. A piece of natural nature. There is also... More

The mosque seemed like an oasis giving the impression of extreme calmness and tranquillity. It was a nice place to visit no far from the city centre by car and only took about 30 minutes to see.

The moskee itself is for me not special, even not beautiful or impressive. But the place where it is built is peaceful and relaxing. It's at the salt lake. Those who like cats, there you see more cats than you can imagine. Its not a must to go to the moskee but in combination with a wonderful walk along the... More
