This is a beautiful beach away from the maddening crowds

Been here many a time and this is one of the better beaches of Cyprus. The water is clear, sand is clean and there are a few good places to eat like Adamos or Kalymnos. Some... read more

Some good eating and drinking places, beach sandy, shallow, clean and safe. Good place to take kids and great walks.

Want something different to the usual run of the mill beaches and you don't mind traveling, try Governors beach a few kilometres from Limassol on the way to Larnaca. Its certainly worth a visit, with it's clear blue water's and nice sand......Oh and caves to explore if your that way inclined.....................and it's not over crowded. You'll need to take a... We came here for an afternoon swim. The waters are crystal clear, and there are some caves to be explored if one wishes too. Away from the crowds, it seldom has many people even in July, however this beach is not my piece of cake since it is an open sea and coves are more preferable to me. In the... More

Been here many a time and this is one of the better beaches of Cyprus. The water is clear, sand is clean and there are a few good places to eat like Adamos or Kalymnos. Some people even have their wedding reception events here for the view and the sunsets.

This beach is very close to where I stayed...it is a lovely quiet beach that slopes gently out..you pay for sun beds & umbrellas on the beach, but the ones on the grass near the restaurants are free if you buy from the bars...👍👍👍

Black sand and some shingle but with lovely white cliffs running down into the sea. Sun shades and beds provided for a small fee with a very helpful and comprehensive café just above on the cliff with even further views. There is even a full restaurant for those in need but we did not try it. Earlyish morning and off-season... More

This place needs work. It has the potential to be really nice but it lacks proper investment in facilities and cleaning up the beach. It was much nicer 20 years ago when it was a couple of old fashioned tavernas on a secluded beach. Wasn't worth taking pictures.

All that the Med has to offer - blue skies, turquoise water, sea&sand, refreshing&tranquil swimming, showers - along with a beautiful fish restaurant/cafe with spectacular views! A relaxing romantic day by the sea - a piece of unspoilt Cyprus. Unmissable!

Governor's Beach used to be a high quality attraction, with beaches that were crystal clear, but not any more since Vasiliko became fully operational and local fisheries started fish production, thereby creating a green and ugly sight...It still though has high quality fish restaurants, well worth the visit...
