Always worth a visit. Easily reached by bus (210) from the harbour. The whole area around the market is being improved. Apart from the market, which is particularly good for leather and textiles, there are a number of pleasant bars and restaurants, many of which...More

I have read a lot of posts from torist complaining that it seemed to be just a few shops, oh no its far more than that. Its a tourist mecca that needs patience. The shop keepers are genuine and welcoming and the goods, can range...More

We had a great afternoon walk round the market, loads of stalls, friendly stall owners, leather goods lace, local produce. Easy to find, the sightseeing bus stops at the bottom of the car park lift.

On our last visit the roads were all being changed. The new roads and market area are a big improvement, much more open and friendly.

The old town market is just lovely and worth a visit! You can get a bus from the harbour up to the old town which drops off right beside the market place. Such a lovely place to stroll around and haggle for the best prices...More

After 23 long months at the end of July 2018 the old town market finallly reopened. Modern style entrance and inner courtyard whilst maintaining the older avenues of market traders. Disappointed though as the space created has greatly reduced the number of traders. Though in...More

Lovely market. Lots of indoor stalls so nice and cool. Some sellers a little pushy but most were pretty easy going.

A nice collection of shops, cozy and covered place, the most pleasant atmosphere and there are a variety of products, some local and some souvenirs for tourists.

If you’re hotel is in Kato (lower) Paphos a simple 5-7 minute bus ride from the harbour bus station will drop you right outside the sun bleached walls of the market. As with wherever you go in Cyprus there are the cafes and gift shops...More

No, it's open all day but closed in the evening. Great if you want out of the sun for a while in the afternoon when all other shops are closed!
