If you are a beginner or a less competent skier or boarder, this would be a great place for you to go for a week. Unfortunately, if you are more towards the advanced end of the scale, it can be a fairly tedious and less than thrilling experience. There are only a few black runs available, the lifts are painfully... More

very nice place to start learning how to ski. it has a soft slope and good rest area with a full view of the begginer´s ski slope. TIP: rent your equipment in the place that is half way from Pal (in the mountain road) .. its easy, cheap and fast. as a beginner you should take your ski boots in... More

Small village, reasonable skiing area with slopes until intermediate level. Also a few nice places to have some after ski and meals. Maybe a few of the lifts need replacement soon (slow). People are in general very friendly and helpful.

Visited here to ski for the second year running. As I am still a beginner I wanted somewhere that would be good value with good instruction and an easy introduction to the activity. The Vallnord area has it all. The scenery is spectacular, there are runs suited to the beginner-intermediate and I have found all the instructors to be friendly... More

Not much to say about the resort. It's very good for kids and families, specially beginners. It can be a bit stale after a couple visits as it doesn't have a lot of slopes but it's always good fun. The staff is very cool and always helpful.

As elderly skiers, my mate and I no longer seek the more challenging runs as the knees will no longer cope with moguls. This resort was great for us. Don't get me wrong, for the more adventurous there's plenty for you but don't expect the range available in the larger European resorts. We were there early February and the slopes... More

Loved it. A really good range of slopes. Great views. Very small queues for lifts (other than the nursery slope). Shops and restaurants good, other than the self service, which was really poor.
