We were able to get to the palace in time for the changing of the guard. Which was pretty neat. Monaco is just so beautiful. Hit the little shops around the palace. There is some nice little restaurants tucked away.

We did not pre-book for anything in Monaco during June and never queued for entry either. Without the the audio tour of the Prince's Palace, I think it may be a bit boring, but the commentary gave enough information to give meaning to what one...More
The changing of the guards was built up to be quite an event. There were probably 200 people there for the event that lasted all of 90 seconds - move to the other side of the square for fantastic views over Port Hercule instead!

No need to book in advance. Tickets are available from the souvenir shop throughout the day. You can buy tickets just for the palace or combine the ticket with the automobile museum, which is in a different location. Both... More
No need to book in advance. Tickets are available from the souvenir shop throughout the day. You can buy tickets just for the palace or combine the ticket with the automobile museum, which is in a different location. Both tickets are sold at the same store. However... they have a minimum purchase when using a credit card. I can't remember what it is, but it is quite high.
