This is a lovely church with a fantastic interior. I stumbled across this church whilst walking through the alley ways. The church stewards insist on silence which is to be expected but they do tell you off if you are loud ! The entry is free and donations can be given upon exit. Take note of the modern organ. Well... The size of the cathedral reflects the size of the state. Famous for the fairy tale wedding between Rainier III and Grace Kelly. They are also buried here side by side. Right in the middle of a walk from the Palace to the Aquarium.

The cathedral of Monaco is dedicated to the Virgin, although popularly known as Saint Nicholas because of the church that previously stood on its site. The current building was built in the 19th century. The church was designed according to a Roman-Byzantine style. Inside, there are chapels dedicated to Sainte Devote, Saint Roman and the Saint Sacrament. The 16th-century altarpiece... More

I visited the church on a weekday and not very many tourists at the time. I really enjoyed the sights and looking at the architecture. Excellent site to see.

As my Title says "WOW" what a building, the design is striking, it was a popular spot with other tourists on the day we saw it.

Both lovely, and sad, all at once. Spend some time reading of its history. Sets an according tone for the rest of the exploration of the area. Be sure to check out the nearby Jardins de Saint Martin, too. Nice little park overlooking the sea way down below.

I got really confused by the Tripadvisor reviews of St Paul’s church. The link takes you to the website for St Nicholas Cathedral and most of the reviewer photos and comments also relate to the Cathedral. I understand that St Paul’s is used by the Grimaldi family for their devotions, but the Cathedral (which is located in the Old Town... More

What a nice church. This is the place where Grace Kelley married her Prince. Not too far is where her daughter resides and of course, it has security. We walked inside and I even got a medallion of the place.

This is a lovely church with so much history. Where the Rainiers were married and buried - quite a bit to take in and worth visiting.
