Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This beautiful chapel is situated near the exit of the train station on your left. It is very special as it looks like it is 'sandwiched' between too hillocks..very cozy and tranquil. An artist would love to paint it and its surrounding. A lighthouse in the dark of the night for a lost soul especially when one view it at night as it was liter up on my way back to Cannes by train. It has a very interesting history as described by Wikipedia.
Sainte-Dévote Chapel (French: Chapelle Sainte Dévote) is a Roman Catholic chapel dedicated to Saint Devota, the patron saint of Monaco.
The chapel was first mentioned in archived documents dated 1070, built against the wall of Vallon des Gaumates, on the space now occupied by the Chapel of Relics. It was restored in the 16th century. In 1606, Prince Honoré II added a span, followed by a porch in 1637. The façade was rebuilt in 1870 and refurbished further in 1891 in "18th-century Neo-Greek" style. The stained-glass windows were made by Nicolas Lorin of Chartres. The glass windows were destroyed during the bombing of Monaco during World War II and were restored by Fassi Cadet of Nice in 1948.[1][2]
At night when it is lighted the stained glass windows come alive with its beautiful colors and drawings..

A cote de la gare. Very quiet and restful and cool on a warm day. Easy to combine on a walking tour.

Not much to see here, but the small church just by the harbour and close to the Grand Prix stands has some interesting artefacts and some nice stained glass. Worth seeing for free if you are passing.

When I first read the reviews for this little chapel I wondered what made it so popular. When I went inside I realised why. Don't expect to see any extravagant ornaments or shrines. It is the serenity and the quietness that are overwhelming especially after leaving the noisy streets of Monte Carlo. Behind the chapel you can follow the path through a series of steps literally carved into the Rock cliff to get to the upper side of the town (or you can use the lifts of the train station if you're feeling less adventurous).

This lovely Roman Catholic chapel felt special to me. It is dedicated to Saint Devota, the patron saint of Monaco. Renown and recommended.

You can’t miss it when you walk to the port from the train station.
It’s a beautiful church dedicated to the saint patron. Also, don’t miss the statue outside of it.

Saint Devote is the Patronne of Monaco, and this little church is quite very special, as soon as you enter there, you feel a very nice atmosphere, not to much luxury, no to less, just the right middle.
Stay a few moment there and you will get the feeling to his special atmosphere. Atmosphere is not there any more in many churches, so it is worth going there, even the surrounding is full of some forces.

This young woman, Devote, a saint of the Catholic Church, is jointly honored as a Patron in both Monaco and Corsica. The church which bears her name is the most historic church in the Principality.
