We came to Eisenstadt exclusively to learn about Hayden, and Hayden Haus is definitely the place to do that. Included in entry fee is a recommended audio guide (no extra cost), which was very professionally done, as was the entire museum. Much more satisfying than...More

Haydn Haus is an odd place, it was once the residence of the composer, but much of his actual property was destroyed in a fire so most installations are either replicas or best guesses based on his writings. The various rooms have signs in both...More

Revealing to see where he lived before occupying qarters in the palace itself. One comes nearer to the great composer. Displays give good explanations and tell many interesting details of his life.

We spent about an hour in this museum, and, with the audioguide, left feeling like we knew everything about Haydn. It was worth our time.
