The hike to this waterfall is really an enjoyable walk on a well marked trail, with an easy hike for the last 15 minutes. The waterfalls at the top are beautiful! There are signs along the way with historical information about the area. This is...More

It's around an hour or so to get there. It's really easy for 75% of the trail. The last ~15 mins are unpaved and would need proper footwear to continue uphill to reach the waterfall. Don't rely on GPS, as it does not work going...More

If time permits, the walk is worth it. Top priority while in Hallstatt, though, would be the Ice and mamoth caves as well as five fingers viewing platform in Obertraun...a quick bus ride from Hallstatt. That outing however, requires almost a full day.

The view from the top is stunning, and it's a great activity whether you are going solo, with your friends, or family. The hike was really refreshing, and walking shoes/sport shoes would be recommended and not slippers if you are looking to go all the...More

The walk to the waterfalls is easy and has very beautiful views. The waterfalls themselves are totally worth the 2 hours (in total, both directions) hiking. On the way there is another waterfall too. Don't miss to enjoy the nature further from the touristic part...More

This is the best activity in Hallstatt. I think, that's even better than the city itself. The entrance to the path is about 300 meters away from the P2 parking. So you can park there or you can go even closer to a park place...More

It was so nice to escape the hordes of people in the town and take this lovely walk to the waterfalls. We passed through neighborhoods, farms, and woods to reach the spot where four waterfalls come together. There is a bench before the final ascent...More

The first part of the walk is a flat road through the village into the Echern Valley, with steep cliffs on both sides, small farms, and some lovely alpine homes with beautiful flower gardens. (The beginning of the trail wasn't easy to find, so try...More
