I visited Linzergasse at daytime and in the evening. Go there after dark for a unique experience. Lots of shops around.

This street is perfect for a relaxing stroll, camera in hand. It’s filled with local shops, bakeries, and restaurants. These pedestrian streets have everything you could want. After we got a quick bite to eat, my girlfriend took off for the clothing stores. I found...More

My Honey Bee and me were Christmasing in Salzburg and our hotel was on Franz Josef Strasse just off Linzergasse; we used it as an easy and direct route to the Old Town: Hohensalzburg, St Peters Stiftskulinarium, Dom, etc. The bridges are bedecked with nightlights...More

There are Cafés, bakeries, a confectionery, restaurants and nice byways to explore. Don't miss the stairs to the Kapuziner Mountain!

This is smaller then the main Old Town side, but worth venturing to for some nice bakeries and shopping. A quieter area to stay with a couple of large Spar supermarkets and pharmacies.

Stretches out into the more modern part of town but still full of history and interesting to walk along. Quirky little shops, nice cafes, restaurants and fully pedestrianised all make for an enjoyable experience.

Whatever you need seems to be available along Linzer. Enjoy a stroll. Visit an ATM. Ear a gelato. Have a meal. Meet interesting people. You’ll enjoy your time.
