Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The square was nice and so was the ice skating. However the lady manning the ice skate rental shop was extremely rude and racist. She demanded that I leave my passport with her as security if I wanted to rent the skates (this was nowhere mentioned anywhere) I reluctantly left it with her. When I came to return the skates, she wanted the invoice for the rentals to return my passport. I told her I didn’t have it as I wasn’t told to retain it. She was then really rude to me and told me it wouldn’t be possible to return my document without the slip. I searched for it in my pockets and coincidentally found it, on which she said that I had it on me all along but was too lazy to look for it. On protesting she told me to stop arguing. Her demeanour was extremely hostile, aggressive and racist.

Mozartplatz is a fairly large square with the one and only Mozart in the middle and connected to the Residenzplatz and the Waagplatz and the Kaigasse.
This neighborhood contained the city's oldest settlements and was also home to the first public market.
The Salzburg Museum dominates this square, but it will take a while to visit it.
It is certainly not the most beautiful square, but it is one of the most important.

This square is located in the heart of the historic center, a point of reference for those visiting the Christmas market. You will also find various historic buildings, various types of shops, bars and restaurants. Of course, don't forget to look at the statue of Mozart (hence the name obviously).

Mozart in the middle of the square is impossible to miss. All around there is a good tourist information office, a large café and a souvenir shop. The square is a good starting point for planning further activities, as it is nice and quiet and has plenty of places to sit.

This is a public square in the Old Town of Salzburg named for one of Austria's most famous sons, Wolfgang Mozart. There's not that much in the square except for the statue monument to Mozart, but there's plenty of touristy shops, restaurants and cafes surrounding the square. Most of the things to see such as Residenzplatz, Kapitalplatz, Salzburg fortress and cathedral, are very close to this square.
In my humble opinion, this square is a poor way to honour Mozart.

The Mozaetplatz is a nice enough square but it isn't going to blow you away or make you wish you could spend an afternoon there... In autumn... Maybe in summer it is better.

My husband saw this statue and had a photo taken 35 years ago. We revisited it today and recreated the photo. There was also the Christmas Market and an Ice Rink in full swing which was fantastic to be part of. A beautiful city.

Take a picture and move along. There is not a lot to see or do here. Most importantly there is the very interesting Salzburg Museum.

A very calm and relaxing platz (mind you went in Feb first week) and listening to the musicians playing below the Mozart statue. Quite a lot of things to do around there (lots of museums) so between museum visit came out and sat on those benches with a piece of cake from the near by local bakery was just a great experience.
