Visited Chaberton a month ago with a friend. I have been here over the years many times. We went into the tasting room and were invited to the end of the tasting bar away from the 2 other guests. My friend ended up purchasing approximately $200 worth of wine. We were shown a tasting menu but it was not explained to us that due to Covid, tastings were done outside. When I asked to try a quick tasting of just their merlot (which was one of the wines listed for a tasting) I was told a flat out "no". When I asked why they said all tastings were done outside and that there were too many people in the wine shop... there were 2 other people). I just found the whole experience to be rude and pretentious, which is not the first time I have been here and have received rude service.

Had really enjoyed previous lunch and dinner experiences on special occasions - were disappointed on sept 4 lunch visit. Our lunch bill with tip was $90 which covered 3 glasses of wine, one soup, one salad and one lunch entree. At price point expected to be wowed somewhat. Were disappointed in the quality of food and service. Arrived at 12:15 , seemed rushed to order but no food until after 1:15, soup order was not input correctly. The entree came with a side of greens. It was a pile of lettuce tossed in vinegarette, that buried the quiche. For close to $100 we expected an “elevated” experience including a well presented plate. Given location anticipated better use of local ingredients. On a positive note, Covid protocols were followed closely, servers/greeters masked, tables appropriately separated. Sad to say we will not recommend to friends and not return. Value for $ not there. Quality of restaurants is continue to improve in Langley, Chamberton needs to up its game to support price point. Tired property and tired menu.

Racial discrimination - We made a reservation at Chaberton weeks in advance for a tasting for a 40th birthday. As there were 15 of us, we hired a driver to ensure we were not drinking and driving. This was our second winery, and as we arrived and left our vehicle the Chaberton staff approached and said they couldn’t serve us because we were intoxicated. We had only gone to one winery prior to arrival and definitely were not visibility intoxicated. I noticed others at Chaberton who had also been at the winery we were at before Chaberton, they were being served and had not been denied. What was different between them and us was that they were Caucasian and we were not. It really felt as though this denial was based on race, not alcohol consumption. I would not recommend this business as they seem to assess their patrons based on race, not fact. There are many wonderful wineries in Langley - head to another one!

Lovely large winery. Picnic area out front with plenty of seating. Several tour buses/limos pulling in. Parking lot was full. However customer service was subpar. Not friendly at all. Tasting menu is small considering the number of wines they offer(apparently they rotate their offerings). However with such a large number of people visiting could they not offer a larger selection? Everything I was looking forward to trying was not available, no exceptions! Sadly I left with a bad taste in my mouth and probably won’t come back to try their restaurant. We actually purchased a wine subscription from a winery close by instead.

We recently toured a few wineries in the Fraser Valley , we had reservations at all the Wineries , however when we arrived at Chamberton winery we were told your 12 minutes late , we can not accomodate you now.in a pompous demeaning tone.
There were 4 employees standing in tatsing room and no Customers , we were told you can buy an bottle and do your own self tasting outside .
The attitude at this winery is snobby and rude your not in France my dear its Langley...
Do yourself a favor a drive by this place avoid the condescending attititude and head to Glasshouse Winery , awesome wines and pleasant down to earth people

Had lunch in the bistro and it was excellent. Good service from a lovely young woman with beautiful red hair. Food was excellent. Enjoyed the tasting room too. Personal service. She was very engaged, knowledgeable and friendly. Got a 4 litre box of the Chaberton white which was an excellent deal as well as a bottle of the bacchus which is always good.

Excellent selection at very reasonable prices.
We got the flight of wine so we could try a selection and purchased some cheese - also great!
Sat in the sun in the lovely picnic area.
I highly recommend this place and in particular the meritage and Gewürztraminer.

Went for a wine tasting, tour and lunch at the Bistro. Enjoyed an extensive tour of the winery which was very informative/educational. Followed that up with a tasting of various wines. Enjoyed the samples and was provided with a lot of info on each wine. All our questions were answered as well. Then had lunch for our party of 5 in the Bistro. The food, as well as the service was excellent. Our party enjoyed the whole experience. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. A great afternoon and we will return for sure!

If ou have a chance to visit this winery, take it! The wine is excellent! If you are lucky enough to have Judy be your sommelier, soak in every bit of knowledge she so willingly and effortlessly shares!
