Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This arch commemorates two events in one monumental way. Kind of like in real life - joyful events like wedding are intertwined with death.... Nice to look at, as you walk through the old city. It takes a few moments to be able to appreciate the depictions.

Located on the busy, central Maria Theresien street, it's worth a photo. Can't be climbed/entered as of this writing, but that could depend on specially arranged tours. Just unfortunate that it's situated so that cars and people go under and through with such frequency that doesn't bode well for its condition and upkeep.

Ok - when you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. But ofcourse it is nice to pay a visit in these places. None of these ever impresses after you’ve seen the on and only in Paris

On the edge of the old town a quite unmissable and typical monument. Interestingly the arch is celebrating 2 different events on its two faces. Nothing extraordinary though

Free to see, the arch has some impressive statues and stands imposingly at a crossroads. Definitely worth seeing, but don't go out of your way.

I actually just stumbled across this on a morning walk. It is beautiful when studied, but in a tricky spot now due to what has developed around it - I think the area is somewhat spoiled by modern buildings leaving this out on its own a little.

The arch is basically straddling the main road and buses have to navigate through the narrow arches. Really ornate carvings on the arch - well a visit.

This is a poor man's triumphal arch. Looking a little worn and shabby but impressive all the same. I would only bother checking it out if you are in the area.

I forgot how beautiful this arch was after not seeing it in 20 years. I was afraid we were going to have a problem finding this but since we went to the Breakfast Club for breakfast, it was so easy because this was right by it.

Stayed at the Hilton which is no more than 250 feet from the Arch. That makes the arch a great place to start your walking tour of the old town as it is at the head of Maria Theresastrasse. We got to see the arch coming and going---it is much more impressive when lit up at night.
