It was great experience come across huge ice skating rink during the sight seeing. There are several big ice circles linked with alleys. It is easy, convenient and cheep to rent the skis and locker and skate. The scenery is beautiful, and nearby small wooden lodge houses offer hot gluhwein and food.

The Wiener Eistraum is a huge ice rink right by the Rathaus(City Hall). There is one bigger surface and many small pathways through the park. It is a wonderful experience to skate on those paths. The prices are reasonable and you can rent ice skates and a locker for your stuff. All three of them cost a total of 22€... More

It is an ice rink for sure bigger than you might have ever seen!!! The ice is well maintained, the price is not excessive and you will enjoy it a lot because you might travel through the lanes passing by trees in the garden. An ice lover should not miss it! The less sporty members of the family might visit... More

They expanded it this year, so it's slightly bigger now. It's very fun if you like ice skating. Try to come when it's a bit quieter, more enjoyable with less people. Also means better ice. Not the ideal place for complete beginners since it's rather crowded due to its popularity. They have two bigger rinks where you can circle around... More

We went for a quick 1-2 hours skating on our way to our ski holiday. Great location in front of the old city hall where they have set up wooden stalls with hot chocolate and traditional Austrian sweets and dishes. The rink is fairly large with 2 large rinks and a lot of paths meandering through the park. Friday afternoon... More

Wienee Eistraum is the adress to go iceskating in Vienna. And honestly, it really is beautiful and romantic there skating through the townhall's park right next to townhall and Burgtheater. The paths are long and the fields big, which is really awesome to skate...if you have your own shoes. The ones you can rent there are totally useless. Not carved,... More

The 2016 season showcased a 8000sq metre ice skating area situated in Rathaus park, it sits right in front of the Rathaus building and the national theatre. The views and experiences are breathtaking. When you need a break from skating, there are food stalls and a restaurant available in the area to recharge. I opted to warm up with a... More

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
