What a beautiful stunning church! We happened upon the church while walking around Vienna. Beautifully ornate icons and stunning gold leaf decorate the walls. Visit if you can, well worth it.

This small Russian church was located right next to the hotel I was staying in and so it was very easy to visit as a starting point before heading on towards the better known sights of Vienna. Quite a pretty exterior. There was some kind of service going on when I visited so I didn't go inside.

We were lucky to find out about this from a free map as it is astonishingly not in either of our guide books. It definitely ranks in my top 10 sites. The interior is painted with gorgeous frescoes and there are a number of beautiful icons. The exterior is wonderful too from the typical onion dome to the roof mosaic... More

Very lovely, however, not really publicly open for everyone, Russian community is pretty huge in Vienna, stunning architecture of Orthodox Russians in the middle of catholic churches and Vienna atmosphere, very weird and strange but anyway unusual and refreshing in Vienna, for walking around, breathe the atmosphere and just admire the quarter of diplomatic representations and Embassies, it´s basically the... Vienna is one of the best city in Europe. Very clean, easy to move around, full of history and best of the classic music.

Very nice Russian orthodox church in the diplomatic quarter of Vienna, next to Russian Embassy and close to Rennweg Station and Imperial Riding school hotel. Also not far from Belvedere Palace and gardens, so if you are there, worth the detour.
