Great museum with interesting changing exhibitions (we where there when there was the space exhibition). The first floor is very big and also offers a lot of interactive pieces, and things you can touch. The second floor is mainly stuffed animals. The location of the museums cafe is amazing! Only downside is the small elevator with long waiting time (we... More

4 hours in the museum, no regrets, i will came back. Just love it, make me feel like a little kid. But the dusty window of the exhibition was the only disappointing spot of my tour . Must do, on any travel list

We were in Vienna for a week of vacation with our 5 year old son. We knew he'd love the dinosaur exhibit but didn't know how he'd do with the rest of the Museum. However, there was so much to keep his attention (and ours) that we were there for half a day. Most exhibits also have the description in... More

Wonderful museum. Dinosaur exhibits are amazing with a robotic dinosaur - kids will love it as it moves and roars.

A huge museum for a minimal rate to visit.. One should start top down - as the top floors have some very interesting animals and skeletons, the digital space etc.. the first two floors comprise of minerals and rocks which may good for anyone doing a geological study.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the museum, our 1 year old loved seeing the animals and it was very educationally for our 3 year old. The 'adult' hot chocolates on the second floor were delicious. To finish it off there is a Christmas market directly outside the front door.

€10€ entrance fee (adult). The building that the museum is in is beautiful and as we visited in December, the Christmas markets were outside too! Once inside, the museum is huge and there is lots to see! In places I found that it was a little boring/ I was unsure of the purpose of some of he rooms (three huge... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
