This is the summer residence of the Habsburg family. The palace, grounds and gardens are massive but everything is beautiful, a must see if in Vienna, words cannot describe it

A must see when in Vienna. Stunning insight into past Austrian royalty. Vast gardens which are free to wander. Give yourself a few hours to make the most of your visit.

We heard about this palace and wanted to see it for ourselves. The palace interior is wonderfully aged and majestic for the time period in which it is known for. The surrounding gardens are vast, and I’m sure beautiful when in bloom. Unfortunately we visited...More

Must visit if you are in Vienna. Full of history and beautiful art pieces and paintings. Amazing huge garden outside, as a matter of fact the name Schönbrunn means beautiful spring.

Very popular venue. We did not tour inside the palace but walked around the wonderful gardens. I bet in spring/ summer when flowers are in bloom it’s even better. The zoo is inside the gardens and well worth a visit

The palace is amazing and rich with history. However, this is a place I wont be visiting again due to the rude treatment I received from a lady staff while changing ticket with my vienna pass. I am not sure if they are permanently station...More

A must-do in Vienna. See how Marie Theresa and Franz Josef lived and worked! Pro tip: Don’t sign up with tour companies that promise to “cut queues with private guides”. You can do the same with the official Schonbrunn guides that run guided tours at...More

I've booked the visit to this palace together with a meal and a concert. I wish I've listen more carefully to a review that I've read before booking. I was alerted that the meal could be moved to the Marriot hotel nearby, and that happened....More

Vienna’s 13th district has always been in the shadow
of Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens, but has
interesting hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Allow half a day for the imposing Habsburg residence
and the gardens with Gloriette belvedere. Reserve the
other half to discover the secret charms of this posh
residential neighbourhood. Sneak out of the gardens at
Hietzinger Tor (Hietzing Gate) and head down
