I liked this museum a lot! It shows the history of torture in Austria (and other countries) with impressive exhibits! The place is gloomy and during the visit I felt as if I was a part of it.

I would recommend if you like to read. If you're more of a looker than a reader, don't bother it's too small. BUT if you DO like to read, there's a lot to take in, especially about Guantanamo Bay.

Very small museum you can finish in less than an hour. I have been to different torture museums and this was the least interesting one ever. Not worth the money. Vienna has so many museums, skip this one.

This will not be everyone's idea of fun but if you bother to read the information it becomes quite interesting. If you just walk through you will not get much of an experience

It is tiny and we were finished in 10 minutes. Some of the stuff was interesting but it wasn't worth what we paid. Wouldn't recommend. Also not suitable for people with mobility issues

Small museum houses in an underground air raid bunker. Depicts different forms of torture used over the years but found the statues of humans very un lifelike. They could have done this better.

the underground museum is about 30 minute walk through of various torture methods. Those are described by items and life size figurines, in a matching settings. Everything was very interesting and information is provided on the methods shown and when they were in use, and...More

It only took us about 30mins to get round this museum. It is in a bunker underneath vienna which is fascinating in itself. The exhibits are interesting and surprisingly not too macabre, a museum like this could easily be overly sensationalised, but this museum seemed...More

We found the museum easy enough (there is an aquarium next to it) and were pleased it only cost €6. The museum is down a flight of stairs so if you have mobility issues bear this in mind as I wasn't aware of another entrance....More
